Dr John Puntis has written for Keep Our NHS Public on the dangers of further health sector privatisation, criticising government blind spots in plans announced by the Prime Minister in January.
Dr Puntis explains that:
- A crisis in acute care is being ignored
- Elective care is inappropriately embracing privatisation
- The current plan enhances and entrenches the role of the private sector
- There is a lack of protections against private sector expansion
